Where we’ve come from.
Dalwhinnie Angus has been breeding stud Angus cattle for 15 years. Over that time, females have been purchased from Outwest Angus, Millah Murrah, Kenny’s Creek, Forres and Trowbridge BBB. Breeding has been largely by Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer from select cows and externally purchased embryos. From our strong base we continue to source and use genetics that we believe create a viable, consistent and trustworthy product.
Dalwhinnie is run by Dean, his wife Anne and three children, Kristen, Holly and Taine. We are based on a property 3 kilometres east of Lucknow, NSW.
We will be holding our second on-property bull sale in 2021 where we will have 30 bulls and 20 commercial Angus heifers on offer. We were extremely proud of the inaugural sale last year and look forward to what future years hold.

Our Herd.
Our cow herd comprises approximately 100 Stud Breeders and 50 commercial cows which we use for ET work and commercial production. Bulls and females are sold by an annual on-farm sale and by private treaty.
Our Bloodlines.
Over that time females have been purchased from Outwest Angus, Millah Murrah, Kenny’s Creek, Forres and Trowbridge BBB. Artificial Insemination is used extensively and Embryo Transplant from select Dalwhinnie cows, and utilising embryos source externally.
Our Philosophy.
Our breeding philosophy is based around structural soundness, phenotype and performance (EBV’s). We would like to think that the bulls we produce are a by-product of our female breeding program - If the female herd is sound and perform, then the Bulls will as well.
We are very humble here at Dalwhinnie Angus. We do not claim to be the best or produce the greatest Angus cattle or be better than anyone else. However, we are extremely happy and proud of the product we produce. We know they work commercially through our herd and our clients herds and importantly, we stand by our product and offer support when things do not go to plan.
